Back by popular demand, we invite you to join us for a night of new plays written by playwrights hailing from Partick, Thornwood and beyond!
Featuring a selection of new 15-minute comedies, dramas and more, Roughly Staged gives you a tasting menu of the most exciting new theatrical work happening in the city. All of the plays are performed for the first time, brought to life by a crowd of outstanding actors and directors. After the show, we invite you to join us for drinks in the bar to make new connections, share your feedback and put the world to rights.
Following on from our sold-out scratch nights at the Old Hairdressers and Cottiers over the past three years, this will be a theatrical night out like no other. “I really enjoyed seeing a variety of different pieces and then immediately hearing from the writing and director so you could understand more about the world which was being created. It was such an incredibly supportive environment, an absolute joy to see so many passionate people share their work.” – Audience member, March 2024
“It’s very well organised and the atmosphere is brilliant. Host, writers, directors and performers are so enthusiastic.” – Audience member, March 2024
Roughly Staged is supported by the Partick and Thornwood Ideas Fund.
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
