ACE V!S!ON
ACE V!S!ON’s lyrical prowess and thundering yet enchanting delivery leave an imprint on listeners whether delivered through witty raps, poignant poetry or subtle vocal musings, refined through years of creating in the Glasgow scene. Their multidisciplinary approach to performance has seen them recently become a published playwright, shared work at Edinburgh International Festival and Fringe, and is currently a recipient of Counterflows Music Space bursaries 2023–24. ACE’s thoughtful mastery of words brings a considered voice to the canvas of the group, literally painting pictures with a thousand words.
DEMI ANTER
Demi Anter is a writer and actor originally from California, now based in London after many years in Berlin. An extensively touring spoken word artist, her appearances include Glastonbury Festival, the Scottish Storytelling Centre and Poetry Ireland. Her work has been published by Magma, Banshee, and Ninth Letter, among others. Her debut poetry collection Small Machine (Write Bloody UK) was called “Tender, visceral, beautifully vulnerable” by Musa Okwonga, and "Strikingly luminous and soothing” by Chanel Miller. ANNIE BRECHIN
Annie Brechin is a Bi poet living, writing, and performing in Edinburgh, Scotland. Their work has been published in Magma, Poetry Wales, Stand, B O D Y, Ink Sweat & Tears, Paris Lit Up, and others. Their first collection, The Mouth of Eulalie, was published by Blue Diode in March 2022.
ROSS WILCOCK
Ross Wilcock is a Glasgow based poet and writer whose work explores themes of life as a disabled queer person living in an abled society. Love, growth and self worth play key components of his writing. Dabbling with folklore vibes and lyrical style. Ross’s work has been heard across the U.K. including Glasgow, edinburgh and Leeds.
CARLY BROWN
Dr Carly Brown is an award-winning poet and fiction writer originally from Austin, Texas and now living in Edinburgh. She is the author of a bestselling children’s picture book, I Love St Andrews, and two poetry pamphlets. Known for her lively and witty spoken word poetry, Carly was Scotland’s National Champion of Slam Poetry (2013) and ranked fourth at the World Series of Slam Poetry in Paris. Her debut novella, All the Orphans in the Galaxy, was published in 2022 with Speculative Books and shortlisted for Best Novella in the 2023 Saboteur Awards.
