Sharmanka is a visually rich experience. The best way to experience its world is to come and see one of the shows in Glasgow! Each show features a selection of uniquely crafted kinetic artworks, enhanced by synchronised soundtracks and bespoke lighting designs. Hundreds of carved figures and pieces of old scrap perform an incredible mechanical choreography, telling the funny and tragic stories of the human spirit as it struggles against the relentless circles of life and death.
Journey is one of Sharmanka’s two shows. It features a wide selection of kinetic sculptures including the most recent works by Eduard Bersudsky made in Scotland. The much loved Titanic, Forget Me Not, The Loom and Rag N’ Bone Man are all featured in Journey.
This synchronised microcosm of mystical, mechanical creatures is popular with audiences of all ages.
Running time 45 mins.
