Sharmanka is a visually rich experience. The best way to experience its world is to come and see one of the shows in Glasgow! Each show features a selection of uniquely crafted kinetic artworks, enhanced by synchronised soundtracks and bespoke lighting designs. Hundreds of carved figures and pieces of old scrap perform an incredible mechanical choreography, telling the funny and tragic stories of the human spirit as it struggles against the relentless circles of life and death.
Wheels of Life is a special show which features some of the earliest and most exquisite work created by Eduard Bersudsky in Russia. It includes the gem of our collection, the Wooden Kinemats which were created in the Soviet Union era. The show also includes a selection of the more recent works.
Wheels Of Life’s darker atmosphere and themes are more suitable for our older audiences.
Running time 45 mins.
