Have fun, get creative and help us maintain our free after school art clubs for local children, here in Govan.
Tuesday 8th July - Technique: Painting and paper craft, Style: Surrealism, Inspiration: Frida Kahlo.
Learn art techniques painting on canvas, create your own self portrait using inspiration from Frida Kahlo. Include animal companions and dream elements. Design your own crown of dreams. Age 8+
Tuesday 15th July - Technique: Painting and mark making, Style: Expressionism, Inspiration: Vincent Van Gogh.
Create mini canvases with think bold colours and swirling brushstrokes. Experiment with household and scrap materials such as forks and cardboard to create marks, indentations and textures. Age 8+
Tuesday 22nd July - Technique: Stencils and print making, Style: Pop Art, Inspiration: Andy Warhol.
Reusing acetate to create colourful pop art portraits and designing stencils to repeat designs in bold colours, creating fun wall posters. Age 8+
Tuesday 29th July - Technique: Collage and sculpture, Style: Cubism, Inspiration: Pablo Picasso
Create your own 'mixed up' faces using shapes from magazines, cardboard and scrap paper. Learn how to draw your own self portrait in the cubist style and craft objects or faces from clay. Age 8+
