SI-FAN (Scottish International Fantastic Arts Network) is the exciting new genre festival from the team behind the short comedy film and animation festival Short Com.
We open up on the 25th with a selection of our incredible shorts programme at the GMAC centre. Screening a mix of live action and animation shorts with some homegrown talent.
We have some feature titles set to make their Scottish premiere between Glasgow, Edinburgh and Inverness at the end of April. The stunning animated Cannes select Sci-Fi noir Mars Express. The genre bending Steven Soderbergh produced Divinity; starring Bella Thorne, Steven Dorff and Quantum Leap’s Scott Bakula. The visually stunning magical realist inspired Omen set in the Democratic or Congo, Un Certain Regard section at the Cannes Film Festival in 2023. And the quirky futuristic romantic comedy With Love And A Major Organ that recently just had it’s international premiere at SXSW to rave reviews. For families looking to transport their children to a land of fantasy and wonder there is James and The Giant Peach at the Glasgow Film Theatre.
You can find out more information about the selected films and screening times via www.si-fan.org
