About Waverley.
Five-piece band from Edinburgh. Founded on dramatic dynamic shifts and duelling vocals, waverley. fuse Americana inspired indie rock with folk-rooted songwriting. A group of childhood friends, waverley. thrive in communal writing and self recording sessions. The results of these sessions are seen in their debut EP which was released at the end of 2023. Fresh off the back of a rowdy launch show at The Mash House in Edinburgh waverley. continue to build momentum as they head into 2024.
waverley. released their debut EP ‘It Makes An Emptiness Of A Crowded Place’ on the 17th of November 2023. The collection of songs were communally written and self recorded in a couple of months during 2022, before being fleshed out in the studio. The EP timestamps that period for the band musically and personally. ‘It Makes An Emptiness Of A Crowded Place’ is wholly ambitious as waverley. weave their passions and influences together creating a unique sound that draws on folk rooted songwriting.
