About Glasgow Jazz Festival: Norman Willmore & Corrie Dick
Hailing from the rugged Shetland Islands, Norman Willmore draws inspiration from his Scandinavian and Norse roots, infusing traditional tunes passed down by Trolls and Njugles with contemporary elements of free jazz. Born on the kitchen floor of the last house on the last road, Norman now calls Glasgow home and leads a dynamic ensemble of talented musicians. From the hauntingly beautiful melodies of the Shetland Islands to original compositions that push the boundaries of genre, this band is not to be missed. With each member bringing their own distinctive style and energy to the stage, their live shows are an unforgettable experience that will leave you wanting more.
