Simply take a paper flower, write down your supportive message or pledge for the LGBTQIA+ community and it will be added to a branch. Over the next few months, the tree will travel across the UK and blossom with pledges as it goes.
Our tree stands for love and acceptance; and against hate. We can all be the change.
Prompts for your pledge
I pledge to...
> Call out homophobic and transphobic behaviour when I see it, if it is safe to do so
> Use inclusive language to help everyone feel united
> Normalise the use of pronouns, such as 'he/him', 'she/her' and 'they/them'
> Expand my knowledge through research on common LGBTQIA+ terms and the community's history of activism in the face of adversity
> Show up in person
> Avoid making assumptions about people
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
