Roots of Refuge is a community event organised by JustRightScotland and JustCitizens for Refugee Festival Scotland 2024.
We are taking over the Hidden Gardens for the afternoon to promote the work of some amazing projects that support refugees and asylum seekers across Scotland.
With over 10 stalls to visit, a kids’ corner, free food from some amazing caterers, live music and entertainment, art exhibitions, interactive games and activities - we invite you all to come and celebrate our communities! We are so pleased to be able to welcome talented artists to play you music from all around the world. Poetry, journaling, art, photography and cooking will be on display throughout the venue to showcase different conceptions of the theme "RISE" with the aim of celebrating the resilience and strength of refugees and asylum seekers in Scotland.
This is a family friendly event that is open to all!
The venue is accessible, and we have taken steps to try and make this event as inclusive as possible.
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
