Music that creates a warm glow during the winter chill.
Music from the past and present echoes through Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum, in Scottish Ensemble’s annual Concerts by Candlelight, offering a captivating musical adventure.
Scottish Ensemble will take you on a journey by candlelight that explores new musical paths and connections including music by JS Bach, Philip Glass, Erkki-Sven Tüür and Caroline Shaw. A brand-new work by Valentin Silvestrov, a Ukrainian composer currently living in exile in Germany, will receive its UK premiere. Known for music of serenity and transcendence, Silvestrov’s new piece Moments of Memory VI, will perfectly complement this atmospheric and beautiful programme.
Running time: 75 minutes.
No interval.
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
