Stitched by Bel Pye, this exhibition holds a sensory space within texture, play and rest. Most of the materials used are recycled or repurposed. a soft place to land has challenged the artist to increase the size of their work, as most of their previous work was lap-sized and often made whilst watching telly.
Pye focuses on the experience of making, rather than the finished product, asking themselves what they enjoy from the process: Is it the rhythm of the stitches, the feel of the material, the weight of the project on their lap? Pye hopes people will enjoy exploring the objects as much as they have enjoyed making them.
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
