For over a decade, Optimo hosted one of the most revered nights in the clubbing calendar. Every Halloween, "Espookio" would descend upon the Sub Club to attract Ghouls from all over the city and beyond to ram out the venue year after year. When the residency at the club came to an end, JD Twitch and JG Wilkes let out a sigh of relief… IT’S OVER, THE SPELL IS FINALLY BROKEN!
14 years that had gone by when a spooky yet familiar voice started to resonate around the ears of JD Twitch and JG Wilkes. It was..."Espookio!" and it was a dark and powerful force. The Halloween hiatus had to end - OPTIMO HALLOWEEN IS BACK!!
A spectacular venue needed to be found and The Riverside Museum was that place, well if you’re going to throw a party, you may as well make it in one of the most famous museums in Scotland which houses the oldest, spookiest street in Glasgow.
A place to dance among the old trams, railway trains, in the vintage bars and subway stations, all under the sonic guidance of Optimo as that creaky door opens once again on Halloween 2024 welcoming all Optimo ghouls, freaks and children of the night. Come One, Come All. Doors open at 7pm and the event closes at midnight, so we can all get out as the witching hour hits.
“Just when we thought we were out, we get dragged back in. Optimo Halloween is back!" - J.G. Wilkes
