Kitten Heels is a moving coming-of-age story, set in 1960s Clydeside and told from the perspective of Kathleen Gallagher — a witty, wise-beyond-her-years thirteen-year-old from the fictional town of Havoc. With equal parts heart and humour, Kitten Heels tackles issues of poverty, mental health, and the role of women in a town ruled by shipyards and the Catholic Church.
Come along to the Hub on Saturday 12th October for an afternoon of readings, book signings, and to learn more about the story — and the life — behind Kitten Heels in a Q&A with the author. Plus, make sure to pre-order your copy on the Ringwood website for £9.99 (plus P&P) to receive a signed edition before the launch!
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
