Four women are summoned back to the African continent as strangers, eventually becoming sisters with one common thread: the blood of priestesses.
When Beldina Odenyo, aka Heir of the Cursed, died in November 2021 she left an unstaged play, Tero Buru, named after a funeral ritual practised by the Luo people of East Africa.
Beldina’s recorded voice is supported by a dazzling cast including Chinyanta Kabasso, Hannah Lavery, Jamie Marie Leary and Kimberley Mandindo who bring these words to life for the first time in a spectacular and intimate production.
