Starting the day off at 10.00am at Glasgow Cathedral we welcome stained glass artist Talia Blatt who is currently designing a new window for Glasgow Cathedral, who will give an hour long talk on her artistic process and tell the story of her new work that is soon to be revealed! She will also provide insight to other windows in the Cathedral, including "lost" Munich Glass, the Millennium window and the Creation window, amongst others.
Then, at 11.30am over at St Mungo Museum of Religious Life and Art, our Curator of Medieval and Renaissance Collections Edward Johnson will give a talk on the small, but significant, collection of medieval stained glass housed here at the museum
This morning is a must for fans of stained glass who appreciate the artistry and the symbolism behind them. Come and see these panels which form part of one the finest collections of stained glass in the world and hear from experts on their historic significance.
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
