In celebration of Glasgow's 850th anniversary, Clyde Chorus, a spectacular three-day music event, will shine a light on the city's rich musical heritage and its status as a UNESCO City of Music!

Clyde Chorus will see an eclectic mix of performances across some of the city’s most iconic venues along the River Clyde, including Box Hub Vennel, SWG3 Warehouse, The Savings Bank, Hilton Garden Inn, and Pearce Institute.

Kicking things off on Thursday 29th May is Nathan Evans and The Saint Phnx Band, headlining the opening showcase event at SEC Armadillo with special guests Scottish Opera who will take the opportunity to celebrate the talent of Glasgow’s young people. Their exclusive production will see 300 of the city’s school children present ‘Built on the Clyde’ as part of the opening night.

From big-band and vintage-sounds at The Hilton Garden Inn, electrifying house music and high-energy rap at Box Hub Vennel, a showcase of the finest talent from Glasgow’s Colleges at SWG3 Warehouse, or a Festival Showcase from Mela and Glasgow Jazz Festival at The Savings Bank, Friday 30th May will highlight the diverse talent on offer from the city.

Saturday 31st May will see a family dance party take place at Box Hub Vennel, a Showcase from Govan Music Festival and musicians from Àrd-Sgoil Ghàidhlig Ghlaschu, plus a BSL interpreted show with Nina Nesbitt at The Pearce Institute, whilst an indie-music showcase with Lucia and The Best Boys, and a Celtic Connections Showcase take place at The Savings Bank.

The lineup consists of performers who are originally from Glasgow, have grown up here or who now call Glasgow “home”, and Clyde Chorus will highlight how the city has shaped them and helped them contribute to the legacy which the city is renowned for around the world. Not only this, but Clyde Chorus looks to the future generations, highlighting performers who will continue to build upon this legacy, and showcase why Glasgow is a UNESCO City of Music for years to come.

Ticket prices across all shows will be kept to £8.50 + booking fee to encourage attendance while managing capacities effectively, ensuring that audiences from all backgrounds can take part in this citywide musical moment. Concession tickets will be available at a price of £4.50 + booking fee.

Lou Hickey Band

Having grown up in the Glasgow music scene, Lou Hickey has a broad music career behind her already. She’ll be bringing her unique blend of big-band and vintage pop to The Hilton Garden Inn on Friday 30th May, featuring nostalgic hits from days gone by from the likes of Buddy Holly, the Everley Brothers and The Beatles.

Feel the Groove: Big Miz + BETH B2B Bowfinger + Shaka Loves + Tiptoes
Box Hub Vennel / 3pm - 6.30pm
Feel the Groove is all about capturing that late night energy where every track keeps you moving! Expect DJ sets from a carefully curated lineup including Big Miz, BETH B2B Bowfinger, Shaka Loves You, and Tiptoes on Friday 30th May at Box Hub Vennel. Whether you’re a house music purist or just looking for a fresh new space to lose yourself in the beats, Feel the Groove is your go-to. Get ready to dance!

Triple01’s + Paque
Box Hub Vennel / 7pm - 9pm
Bringing high energy rap to Box Hub Vennel on Friday 30th May is Glasgow-based drill group Triple01s and hip-hop and grime artist Paque.

Static (Glasgow Kelvin College) + Liberation (Glasgow Clyde College) + Sarah Forrest (Riverside College)
SWG3 Warehouse / 3pm - 6.30pm
Taking to the stage at SWG3 Warehouse on Friday 30th May is five-piece indie rock band Static, whose fast-paced thrilling live performances and captivating stage presence have made them a mainstay at iconic venues such as King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut. Also joining them is Glasgow-based solo artist Sarah Forrest, drawing inspiration from classic rock and shoegaze, and Liberation.

Govan Music Festival + musicians from Àrd-Sgoil Ghàidhlig Ghlaschu

Nina Nesbitt + Kerr Mercer + ili
Pearce Institute / 3pm - 6.30pm
Scottish singer-songwriter Nina Nesbitt will be taking to the stage for a BSL interpreted performance at the Pearce Institute on 31st May. Having risen to fame at a young age with her disarming, candid pop – championed by stars including Taylor Swift and Hollywood star Reese Witherspoon – Nina Nesbitt is now found in an entirely new realm. Joining her will be up-and-coming musician Kerr Mercer, and Glasgow-based multi-instrumentalist ili who has captivated audiences across the UK.

Lucia and the Best Boys + Lizzie Reid + Zoe Graham
The Savings Bank / 3pm - 6.30pm
Lucia and the Best Boys will be performing at The Savings Bank on 31st May. The band have supported Wolf Alice, Dream Wife, and Biffy Clyro, leaving audiences in awe of their immersive presence. They have performed at Rockstar Energy presents TRNSMT, in front of a colossal home crowd, marking them as one of Scotland's brightest talents. Joining them is Lizzie Reid, who has an honest vulnerability which shines through in her songs creating a mature, steely eyed reflection on the topics she tackles. Also performing is Zoe Graham, whose latest album ‘Tent’ has all the intimacy and vulnerability of the therapist’s chaise longue, but with the door flung wide open for others to listen in.
