Ten years ago, close to 100 people spent the night in the great hall of Glasgow's Gallery of Modern Art as part of Dark Days – a participatory event by artist Ellie Harrison.
The aim was to create a pop-up community, which could work together to explore ways to negotiate the politics of communal living and decide how to set up and run their camp.
This 10th anniversary event offers the opportunity to find out more about the project, and to hear from the artist behind it as well as some of the other people involved.
There will be a screening of the short film by LUYD Filmmaking made to document Dark Days, followed by a conversation between Ellie Harrison and GoMA Producer/Curator Katie Bruce. This will be followed by a discussion with the audience on memories and reflections of the event, and the ways in which the world has changed in the intervening years.
