Maps can provide a window into the past for family and local history researchers. In this session you will learn about different types of historical maps and the rich information they can provide.
We will then showcase the Map Images website, where there are over 270,000 historical maps available to view. Discover how to find relevant maps, and use our georeferenced, side by side and spy tool viewers. You will then have an opportunity to explore the Map Images website on computers at Kelvin Hall, supported by library staff.
This session will last approximately 60 minutes, including time for questions. All materials will be provided.
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
