About Savoy Centre Sniffari - Sensory Walking Tour

Clara Weale is an independent scent designer, perfumer, and the founder of A Library of Olfactive Material, an open-access resource dedicated to scent education, exploration, and experimentation. Clara has a deep knowledge of scent and its ability to evoke memories and emotions.

Join Clara on a unique 'sniffari' tour through the Savoy Centre, Sauchiehall Street’s iconic market and shopping centre and discover the hidden scents within the building’s eclectic mix of shops, arcades, and history.

Meet at Edward House.

Free event. Booking is essential. If you can no longer attend, please let us know—we’d greatly appreciate it!

This event is apart of an events programme, which will run alongside an immersive exhibition "Not to be Sniffed At - an Aromatic History of Sauchiehall Street". The exhibition invites visitors to experience the street's past through their sense of smell.

Running from April 19 to May 1, this unique collaboration between Glasgow Building Preservation Trust and perfumer Clara Weale explores the evocative power of scent in shaping memory and place.

This work is a part of the exploration phase programme for Sauchiehall Street: Culture and Heritage District, funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund, in partnership with Glasgow City Council.
