It's the year of the snake, and we're celebrating with cryptids! Join us after hours to learn about the snakes of fact and fiction!
This summer, join us at the Hunterian Zoology Museum to explore the snakes of fact and fiction with a programme of after-hours events designed to celebrate the serpentine!
Join us on Friday 8 August 2025 for the Sensational Stories and Firm Facts of snakes. Prof Roger Downie will talk about some of the great misconceptions about these fascinating animals, and then there's a chance to see the dissection of a real snake with Mike Rutherford, the curator of the museum!
Snake Summer runs between 27 June and 5 September 2025 and is hosted by the College of Arts & Humanities, in collaboration with The Hunterian.
