Class Outline:
Get stuck in to the wonder that is Hand-Building in this BYOB introduction class and craft your very own clay creation. Whether this is a small breakfast bowl, a mug, a bud vase or a candle holder, have the freedom to explore and bring your ideas to life. Sip on your favourite drink and unwind with clay.
During this two hour session, you will be shown the coiling and pinching technique by an experienced instructor. Use your preferred technique to build one piece, before adding decorative detail and design to the surface.
Sessions take place in our beautiful Hand-Building studio, adorned with fairy lights, hanging planters and plenty of ceramic inspiration around the room!
No pottery experience is needed, our tutor will guide you step by step. Your piece includes a clear glaze finish, with the option to add specialist glazes for an additional £7 (single colour) or £10 (different colours for multiple pieces)* to personalise your design. Pieces will be ready in 3–4 weeks.
*If making multiple pieces, the £10 fee applies only if you choose different colours.
This is a group activity (max 16 participants) therefore there are other members of the public in attendance. It makes for a lovely bonding activity with family, friends, colleagues or a mindful and rewarding experience to attend alone.
What's Included:
All materials, including clay, tools, and a clear glaze.
An apron.
Expert guidance from experienced tutors.
Firing of your completed pieces (x1).
