Staged at the visually stunning Bridge Gardens, one of Glasgow’s exciting new venues, this bold amateur theatre musical combines electrifying music, striking choreography, and gender-blind casting in an intimate, high-impact performance of this timeless work by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice.
Jesus Christ Superstar is a globally celebrated rock musical that has captivated audiences for generations. Set during the final days of Jesus’ life, this powerful work is told from the perspective of Judas Iscariot, offering a unique lens on one of the most iconic stories ever told.
Told entirely through music, the show delves into the emotional and political tensions between Jesus, Judas, Mary Magdalene, his disciples, and the Roman authorities. Featuring a legendary 1970s rock score, the show includes unforgettable songs like Superstar, I Don’t Know How to Love Him, and Gethsemane.
Audiences have been raving about Call to Stage’s past productions. Here’s what they had to say:
“As good as any professional show I’ve seen…I can’t wait to see what you do next.”
