AC Collective is a group of artists based in and around Glasgow.
We formed in 2023 from friendships that sprang up in various art classes and groups, and from our recognition of our mutual enjoyment of working side-by-side in order to support, encourage and inspire each other, and to receive honest feedback on our work.
We aim to work towards staging group exhibitions, through regular studio sessions together and field trips to interesting and inspiring places.
The Makar's Mark:
We take our inspiration from many sources. People; places; relationships; memories; art and poetry.
This is why the poetry of Liz Lochhead, who was the Makar (National Poet of Scotland) between 2011 and 2016, particularly resonates with us. So we have used her body of work as the inspiration for our third group exhibition, “The Makar’s Mark”.
Thank you Liz.
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
