5-Week Handbuilding Workshop!
Welcome to Art Space G41 CIC! We are a working ceramic studio, third sector non for profit Community interest company.
All abilities welcome — from complete beginners to those looking to build on their skills! Join us for a relaxed and creative 5-week journey where you'll explore a variety of handbuilding techniques to create your own unique ceramic pieces.
What to expect:
Week 1: Exploring Clay
Getting a feel for the material
Freestyle play with clay
Creating pinch pots and small sculptures
Week 2: Slab Work & Coil Building
Using slabs to make keepsakes, bowls, vases, and more!
Learning basic coiling techniques
Making coil pots or vases
intro to sgraffito glaze painting
Week 3: Working on own projects with slab and coil work
Week 4: finishing own projects
Week 5 - Time for painting, glazing, and preparing pieces for firing
