You asked, we delivered! Our brand new Intensive is here.
Designed for those who want more time on the wheel, this two-day workshop offers both a crash course in the fundamentals and a chance to dig deeper into key throwing and trimming techniques as you go.
Over the course of two sessions, you'll receive 6 hours of guided instruction - perfect for complete beginners looking to build confidence and develop skills at a relaxed, steady pace.
Workshop Schedule:
First Session:
Introduction to centering, pulling height, and forming basic cylinders.
Short Interval for break & demo.
Clay preparation and shaping techniques (including bowls, vases, and jugs).
Second Session:
Introduction to trimming, including turning feet.
Short Interval for break & demo.
Handle-making and application.
With just six participants per session, the small-group format ensures personalised guidance in a calm, supportive studio environment. Whether you're trying pottery for the first time or simply craving more hands-on time at the wheel, this is a great opportunity to slow down and fully immerse yourself in the process.
By the end of the weekend, you can expect to have 4-6 pieces ready for firing. Your glazed and finished work will be available for collection within 3–4 weeks.
A selection of glazes are included in the price of the workshop and can be chosen at the end of your final session to finish your creations.
Please note: Glazing tuition is not included in this experience and is part of our 5 week courses instead.
Whats Included:
All materials, including clay, tools, and a clear gloss glaze coating.
An apron.
Expert guidance from experienced tutors.
Firing of your completed pieces.
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
