Welcome to the Saree Motif Storytelling Workshop happening at The Burrell Collection on 16th August 2025 at 1:30 PM!
Join us for a fun and interactive session where, in collaboration with Glasgow Museums' Intercultural Youth Group, we'll celebrate and explore the hidden histories printed, embroidered and painted on sarees.
In this workshop for all ages, you'll be able to find out more about the centuries old craft of saree making and draping. Then, using story cubes, you'll get to create a South Asian inspired epic and share it on our Community Storytelling board.
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
