Coffee is more than a drink — it’s a story, a culture, and a connection. And it all begins in Ethiopia, the birthplace of coffee, where ancient traditions still shape the way we grow, roast, and share this cherished bean.
Join us for an immersive workshop with Crema Coffee Roasters and step into the heart of Ethiopia’s rich coffee heritage. This isn’t just about learning how to roast beans — it’s about understanding the history, people, and values that make coffee one of the world’s most celebrated rituals.
You’ll experience the journey from farm to cup right in front of your eyes:
• Feel the heat as the beans crack and release their deep, complex aromas.
• Explore Ethiopia’s extraordinary coffee varieties, prized for their floral, fruity, and wine-like notes.
• Roast your own small batch and take home the unique flavour of beans you’ve crafted with your own hands.
But this experience goes beyond roasting and tasting — it’s also an invitation to connect with a global movement shaping the future of coffee: the Slow Food Coffee Coalition.
The Slow Food Coffee Coalition “fosters relationships among those whose passion or profession is coffee. We empower farmers by increasing their representation and visibility, and we raise consumer awareness by promoting the identity and knowledge of coffee.”
By joining us, you’ll learn how this initiative is transforming coffee culture around the world, giving producers a stronger voice, and helping coffee lovers like you make more informed, ethical, and sustainable choices.
And because learning should be fun, we’ll end the session with a lively coffee quiz — your chance to prove you’re a true coffee nerd and test your knowledge of flavours, traditions, and brewing secrets.
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
