We’ll explore and discover a different perspective on nature as it glows in the dark under the light of a UV torch. This is a new and emerging conservation technique; join us as we make new discoveries together.
Nature is never predictable but highlights could include fungi, lichens and snails.
As the sun sets you will head off along trails to explore an unseen natural world. The route will be approximately 1.5 km each way and will take in the woodlands and meadows at RSPB Loch Lomond.
The trails are gravel and there are some slopes along the way.
This event will use UV torch light to view nature at night. If you have a high sensitivity to light, please take this into account when deciding to book this event. Please inform staff upon booking. Safety glasses will be available for use during the event.
Please wear long clothing, wrap up and have good sturdy footwear and waterproofs.
Please bring a small normal torch with you if you have one.
If we can make any reasonable adjustments to make this event more accessible to you, please get in touch loch.lomond@rspb.org.uk
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
