These sessions are for 8-12 years and for children only.
Sunday 7th December - Whittling for Christmas
Using both wood gathered along the way and craft materials, create Christmas themed decorations for you to take home and decorate your house with.
Sunday 14th December - Winter Walking Stories
Go off piste with the ranger to Mugdock's very wild places including streams, bogs and woodlands, whilst listening to nature themed stories along the way.
Sunday 4th January: Welly Walk
Our wild places are full of mystery and wonder. Come along with the Ranger to trek through our forests using, ditches, puddles and other boggy places.
Sunday 11th January: Wizards Wands
Release your inner wizard by making yourself an amazing wand from hazel wood. Take it home afterwards and practice your spells.
Sunday 25th January: All About Birds
To help celebrate the RSPB's big Garden Bird Watch weekend, we'll be discovering all things bird related on this afternoon of activities. You will also be making a variety of bird feeders to take home to help our feathered friends through the Winter.
Sunday 1st February: Fabulous Charcoal Creations
People have been making charcoal for time immorial. Come along and make your own charcoal pencil using willow and elder that you\'ll whittle to create your pencil.
Sunday 8th February: Woodcraft Wonders
Unlock your imagination and make your own wood based creations under instruction for the Ranger. This using pieces of wood found in our forests and using tools and craft materials supplied by the Ranger.
