Immigrants have made you kebabs, cleaned your hotels, served you in restaurants and saved your lives in hospitals. Well, now they're bringing you jokes! (Yes, our parents are proud!)
Bringing you 4 of the funniest immigrant comedians active on the Scottish comedy circuit, we want to create a night to revel in the fun and crazy side of the city we call home.
Presenting:
Kate Hammer - from Canada, is a writer, performer, and all-round emotionally unavailable person. She is regularly featured on or hosting nights at Scotland's biggest comedy clubs. Come see the woman too funny to be kicked out of the country. (It was a whole visa thing.)
Sylas Shaw - from Romania, he is an actor, comedian, podcaster. He has performed in 11 countries, can been seen on screen in UK, Europe and America and has also opened for Romania's biggest stand-up stars (Teo, Vio, Costel) on their UK tour.
Hitesh Rathore - from India, in 3 years has become a comedy powerhouse. From being a finalist in the Laurel Comedy Awards to his sold out solo shows at the Glasgow Comedy Festival, or being featured in The Herald, who knows where this funnyman will go next?
Iryna Gil - from Ukraine, Iryna has quickly become a club favourite in Scotland with her sharp, deadpan, ruthless observations. Turns out, making sense of Scottish culture is a journey of its own. "Audience LOVED her.” – The Stand, Glasgow
