Welcome to the Scottish Creative Network.
This is the place to be to connect with fellow creatives, share your work, and find new friends. This is your chance to expand your network and catch up with every kind of creative. We're here at The Social Hub once a month to bring the creative community together to have some fun, get to know each other and most importantly to network!
Who's this for?
Every kind of creative individual, agency, or community group. We're here to bring together a wide and diverse creative community, to share their stories, find new connections and collaborations, and to have a bit of fun along the way.
This is not your regular networking event. It's not stuffy, definitely not serious, and not salesy. In fact, we create 'Creative Chaos'.
Even if you're not directly involved in creating, but you're looking for a creative to work with for a project, or for your business - come along.
We welcome all from beginners, students, semi-pro, to working professionals with 1 day or 25 years experience - in whatever creative field that happens to be. Photo/Video/Film/Motion/Design/Graphics/Web/Marketing/Craft/Art/Theatre.. the list is endless, and you are all welcome, whatever you create. We welcome all and anyone with a creative passion. It doesn't matter what you do or how you do it, if creativity is your passion - come and join in!
Some of the stuff we do:
- We have a monthly 'open floor' where we invite up to four volunteers from the room to give us a 2-minute slot on who they are, why they have come along and who they are looking to connect with. It's a great way to say 'HELLO, I'M HERE' to a new room of creatives, and to share either a project you're working on, looking for collaborators for, or share a great success story with your community.
- We have this 'thing' we call Creative Chaos. It's networking, nonsense and silliness rolled into one. We don't do standard networking - each month we find a creative way to get you to mingle, to mix and to find new faces in the room to connect with - in a silly, fun or creative way. We've done everything from our own versions of beer pong, to our bespoke 'Cards Against Creatives', we've turned Dragon's Den on it's head with "Pitch Slapped" and given our own twist to TV game shows. It's always the best part of the night.
SCN is a collaboration between Different Light Photography X Grubb Creative.
