The classes are led by a talented artist called Sheena Russell. She is GSA graduate (1997) in Fine Art, Painting, exhibited and sold work in London, New York and Oslo, art teacher since 1991.
Introductions: art space, purpose of classes, materials, and each other.
We will cover: Pencil use, line and tone, texture and contrast in observational drawing.
Subject matter: starting with a single object (apple/piece of crockery), then progressing to a more complex composition.
Course description:
These art classes put the emphasis on complete focus on the task at hand and immersing yourself in the meditative practice of observational drawing. With step-by-step instruction and guidance from the tutor, the sessions are structured but also encourage further individual development.

Classes are suitable for beginners as well as those with some previous experience.
