Using everyday processes like breathing, digestion, and movement as inspiration, you’ll be guided through short, engaging writing exercises that connect the inner mechanics of our body with creative expression. No background in science or writing is needed—just curiosity.
Come and discover how the workings of the human body can spark surprising stories, poems, and reflections.
This event is part of Being Human Festival, the UK’s national festival of the humanities, taking place 6–15 November 2025. Being Human is led by the School of Advanced Study, University of London, in partnership with the Arts and Humanities Research Council and the British Academy.
