Six creative poetry workshops for children (ages 6–12) and parents or guardians to write, craft, make together. Both children and their parents/guardians—will gain a range of valuable creative, emotional, and social skills that will benefit them long after the six workshops are complete.
During the final week of the project, participating families will work together to create handmade poetry books. Each book will showcase the young people’s original poems, alongside their hand-drawn illustrations, magazine cutouts, and other creative materials that inspired them throughout the sessions. These personalised books are not only a celebration of what they’ve created, but also a meaningful takeaway for families to keep.
There's no need to bring anything except you and your children. We'll have all writing materials to hand plus tea, coffee, squash, snacks and fruit each week.
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
