Recommended Age Guide: 12+

Water cooler moments, scheming co-workers and the leaving do that some would like to forget.

Opera Highlights is heading back to the office with a dynamic show, transforming recognisable situations – forbidden crushes and awkward workplace conversations – for the stage. Think music paired with the whirr of the photocopier, as you’ll hear music from a range of operas, building a story of all-too-familiar office politics!

We’re taking opera out of the opera house and into halls across Scotland in an intimate, immediate and surprisingly relatable production, with four singers forming the cast of colleagues navigating workplace dynamics. For teens to grandparents, opera buffs to complete newcomers.

So clear your in-tray, unplug the desk phone, and book now for an extraordinary office party this Spring. Featuring the best bits from Die Fledermaus, Pagliacci, Romeo and Juliet, and more – all sung in English to make this one-of-a-kind show immediately accessible to audiences.

‘The set, singing and acting was very good and the pianist was spot on. Please do more of these touring Opera Highlights as they are greatly appreciated.’ – Audience member in Castle Douglas, Autumn 2025

‘This was our first time at the Opera. We received a very warm and friendly welcome and the show was amazing. The singer’s voices are phenomenal. Really enjoyed the evening.’ – Audience member in Crail, Autumn 2025
