I am looking forward to bringing my comedy show - The Joy of Mycock - to Glasgow The Old Hairdressers on January 30th 2026.
Academic and the UK's leading amateur cockologist, Dr Andy Mycock, will give a comedic lecture (à la Dave Gorman) on the cultural history of cocks (phallic not fowl). The show takes a humorous look at how cocks have shaped our history and culture, and the importance of 'cock art' in public life.
The audience will have an opportunity to create their own 'cock art' through a host of creative art approaches (or watch others with a refreshing beverage). Best 'cock art' wins prizes and will join the 'Gallery of Mycock'!
After a string of sell out shows across the North of England, this is the first time Scotland will get to see Mycock!
Look out for my BBC Radio 4 programme - Learning to Live with Mycock - which will be broadcast on April 19th.
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
