Alba Dancers hold weekly children's classes in Jordanhill School in Glasgow's West End. Our younger children focus on music, rhythm and movement, we offer children the chance to enjoy Scottish country dancing and ceilidh music in a fun environment, meeting new friends and learning basic patterns of movement.
Our older children focus on the technique of steps and more complex and unusual formations in more advanced dances. We offer opportunities to be involved in competitions, performances and displays to boost confidence and for a chance to perform in front of an audience. Our classes are also popular with older children working towards the Duke of Edinburgh Award.
Classes run 6-8pm on Friday evenings, the first class is free and we then charge £5 per class.
