The club was founded in 1945, to allow members to indulge their hobby in a friendly and supportive environment, whether they were experienced photographers or complete beginners. That guiding principle is as true today as it was then.

We have our own Club rooms which are situated at 54 Millbrae Road, Glasgow G42 9UG, where members get the benefit of access to our studio for portraiture or still-life work and to our fully-equipped digital suite for photo-editing and printing. As well as these facilities, the club also offers instruction classes and interest groups, including photographic technique instruction, contemporary photography, studio photography, projected image review and printing workshops, where more experienced photographers are on hand to advise and encourage newer or less experienced ones. In addition, various activities that give members the opportunity to get out and about with their cameras take place throughout the year.

The club is a member of the Glasgow & District Photographic Union (GDPU) and affiliated to the Scottish Photographic Federation (SPF), the
Photographic Alliance of Great Britain (PAGB) and the International Federation of Photographic Art (FIAP). We regularly take part in competitions with other clubs at local, national and international levels.

We believe that we are one of the friendliest and most welcoming of clubs and our aim is to try to make the membership experience a fun and sociable one, where everyone can get the most out of this fascinating and challenging pastime.

Our regular Club night is every Thursday at 7:45PM. Visitors are welcome as guests of members. Additional events take place on various other dates throughout the season.

Enjoy your photography at Queen’s Park Camera Club!
