Shoppers will have the opportunity to name one of the six reindeers which will be charging into St. Enoch on Saturday, November 5 as the centre gets into the festive spirit.
The #NameOurReindeers competition will be held across St. Enoch Centre’s social media channels including Twitter, Facebook and Instagram and in addition to having a reindeer named of their choice, the six lucky winners will also win over £150 of Christmas prizes. The festive bundle includes a £50 gift card to spend in centre, a family ticket to this year’s Panto, Cinderella at The King’s Theatre as well as a family ticket to meet Santa at the centre’s very own Christmas Grotto.
Commenting on the initiative Anne Ledgerwood, general manager of St. Enoch Centre, said: “Christmas is a busy time at St. Enoch and what better way to kick-off the festive celebrations than to invite our shoppers to help name our popular reindeers. After the excitement over Boaty McBoatface this year we’re looking forward to seeing what people come up with.”
The #NameOurReindeers activity is part of St. Enoch Centre’s jam-packed festive calendar which will see the centre come alive this Christmas with a busy programme for all the family including character visits, Santa’s Grotto, the chance to meet and dine with Father Christmas as well as visits from a few special guests which will be revealed over the coming weeks. There will also be a few Christmas classics including Baby’s 1st Christmas and Santa Dash celebrations.
Anne continued: “There’s something for customers of all ages at St. Enoch this Christmas with an exciting programme of interactive festivities and events helping shoppers celebrate the run-up to the big day in Glasgow’s city centre.”
Entries for the reindeer competition must be submitted by midnight on October 31. To apply please post your entry, along with your name, age and the hashtag #NameOurReindeers on one of St. Enoch Centre’s social channels – Twitter, or Instagram or via the Facebook pinned post. The public will then have the opportunity to vote for their favourite entries via Twitter Polls with the winners announced on 11 November 2016.
