With less than six weeks to go, Glasgow and the West’s favourite radio station Clyde 1 has confirmed the full line-up for December’s highly-anticipated SSE Hydro gig for a “night of the biggest bands”.
Clyde 1 breakfast show host George Bowie announced the final addition – The 1975 – live on air this morning with the four-piece confirmed to join the Kaiser Chiefs, Bastille, Blossoms and Tom Odell in Glasgow next month.
Sponsored by The Hub EK, Clyde 1 LIVE is set to be an unforgettable evening with the acts taking to the stage at the 12,000-capacity SSE Hydro on Sunday, 18 December.
Originally from Wilmslow, south of Manchester, school-friends Matty Healy, Ross MacDonald, Adam Hann and George Daniel are the musical quartet behind The 1975. The band will play tracks from their 2016 album I like it when you sleep, for you are so beautiful yet so unaware of it. Famous for hits The Sound, Somebody Else and She’s American, the guys are guaranteed to perform an unforgettable set for live music-lovers.
George Bowie broke the news this morning on his breakfast show, Bowie@Breakfast. Speaking about Clyde 1 LIVE he said: “What a fantastic line-up for this year’s Clyde 1 LIVE. If you are going, you will be in for a great night as these acts are brilliant live! Tickets are sure to go fast. “
With the Kaiser Chiefs, Bastille, Blossoms, Tom Odell and now The 1975 all confirmed for Clyde 1 LIVE 2016, this is guaranteed to be an amazing night of five top live bands all under one roof.
