More than just a Santa’s grotto, Santa’s Enchanted Village takes place within Loch Lomond Bird of Prey Centre and surrounding woodland. The event will welcome its first visitors on Sunday 20th November, and runs every weekend until Christmas Eve, with additional dates on Thursday 22nd and Friday 23rd December.
The full experience will last between 45 minutes to one hour and visitors will first be greeted by Santa’s elves in Rudolph’s Den. From there, they’ll go on a journey through the Bird of Prey Centre where they can meet Santa’s woodland friends, before discovering Santa’s log cabin. After meeting Santa and being presented with their official Nice List certificate, guests will be guided to an illuminated woodland path for the final part of the experience.
Families can also make the most of their visit with a trip to The Kilted Skirlie restaurant. The restaurant sells traditional Scottish dishes and boasts unbeatable views up Loch Lomond towards Ben Lomond. Santa’s Enchanted Village visitors can also get 20% off their food bill when they show their event ticket.
Santa’s Enchanted Village have also teamed up with Children’s Hospice Association Scotland (CHAS). Additional items —a “Santa’s Report Card” and festive door hanger—are currently on sale, with 20% of the proceeds going directly to CHAS to help with their important work. CHAS provides hospice services in Scotland to children with life-shortening conditions. They currently provide a home care service and run two hospices, including Robin House in Balloch.
Kat Kennedy, Event Organiser, said: “Christmas is a magical time of year and our aim is to deliver a fun and memorable experience for families that they’ll thoroughly enjoy. This brand new concept within The Loch Lomond Bird of Prey Centre and surrounding woodland will see the area transformed into a festive scene with lots of different activities, lights, sounds and real life owls and birds for little ones and adults to enjoy along the way. We have been delighted at the response so far as tickets have been selling out so quickly."
