The Castlemilk-born star is bringing celeb-packed comedy show Dropping the Soap to southside venue Eastwood Park Theatre as part of his Scottish tour.

He is calling on Glaswegians who have left Mother’s Day to the last minute to grab the offer for their mums or chums and buy a ticket during the flash sale on Wednesday 7 March.

Gary said: "What kind of son would I be if I wasn’t at home for Mother’s Day!?

“I am a total Mammy’s boy and very excited to do my part for all those wonderful Maws at home by offering a buy one get Mum free offer to my Friday night show at Eastwood Park Theatre.

“Don’t stress yourself out on the present front, you’ll only end up buying her petrol station flowers - bring your Mum to my show and she will laugh her pop tights off.

“She’ll love it, I’ll love it, we’ll all have a hoot!”

The Dropping the Soap show, which is touring all over Scotland and an Edinburgh festival sell-out success, features film footage of Claire from Steps, Martine McCutcheon, Michelle McManus and chat show king Graham Norton.

Gary was last seen leaving River City in a limo with his popstar pal Claire Richards from Steps, who now features in his show.

Claire Said: “Gary managed to rope me in to film his exit and now he’s made me take part in his show. I have rather a lot on at the minute with the Steps tour so hopefully this will be the end of it all.

“If not, I will consider a restraining order.”
