Have you ever dreamt of performing on stage alongside a chart-topping British rock band? Well now’s your chance!

O’Neill’s Pubs are bringing their Sound of Summer music competition back for 2019, and this year’s instalment is set to be bigger and better than ever before.

The national pub chain is calling on Wolf Alice wannabes and budding Bowies to come forward, as they begin their hunt for the UK’s best new act to perform alongside one of the country’s biggest bands at the Jack Daniel’s Presents festival.

To be in with a chance of winning, all budding artists have to do is upload a link to a video of themselves performing to the O’Neill’s Sound of Summer website along with details of their act.

Successful applicants will then battle it out with other artists across the country in the local heats held at their nearest O’Neill’s, and the winners of these rounds will perform for a second time as they compete for six coveted regional winner titles and a £1,000 cash prize!

Finally, a panel of expert judges will crown the national winner who will secure the sought-after opening slot at this year's Jack Daniel’s Presents festival in Birmingham, supporting a (soon to be announced!) chart-topping British rock band.

And, as if that wasn’t enough, the overall winner will also be taken on a three-day UK mini tour ahead of the gig, courtesy of Jack Daniel’s!

James Ireson, Marketing Manager at O’Neill’s, said: “We’re so excited to announce the return of Sound of Summer and this year’s competition is set to be our biggest one yet!

“We can’t wait to listen to all of this year’s entrants and look forward to giving upcoming Glasgow artists the incredible opportunity to perform alongside one of the country’s biggest bands.”

If you think you have what it takes to win this nationwide battle of the bands, visit the O’Neill’s website to apply before Friday 12th July 2019: www.oneills.co.uk/soundofsummer
