The new 350 capacity restaurant and bar opens its door at 12 noon with thousands of hungry guests booked in to enjoy their unique collaborative concept over the next few weekends.
Due to an overwhelming demand for tables, the team has opened up their September diary for customers to book in. Limited walk-in tables will be still available each day.
Pivoting their business from an indoor food market, PLATFORM is now home to Scotland’s largest casual restaurant and street food kitchen, in a beautiful transformation of the iconic Argyle St Arches.
The spacious industrial venue has custom-built comfortable seating with colourful chairs, bright hanging lanterns and leafy planters set in the contemporary industrial and original facade.
PLATFORM has devised and built a seamless app for online ordering of their international menu that features previous traders Gallus Pasta, Tiny Dancers and Ginger & Chilli alongside a new drink offering. There is also a bright yellow online ordering truck for those wishing to order face-to-face instead.
Guests entering PLATFORM will walk through a high-tech thermal scanner, before being greeted by a friendly host who will take you through the easy-to-navigate one-way system. Once they have been shown to their table, they can tuck into some great food or enjoy a drink with friends.
Scott McCormick owner PLATFORM said: “We’ve been overwhelmed with the support from Glasgow and can’t wait to reveal our new street food concept this weekend.
“A lot of love has gone into this menu development and we’re confident in our new offering.”
Speaking about the online bookings, Scott continues: “The response to our new restaurant has been incredible - Glasgow can’t wait to try the new PLATFORM! Due to demand, we’ve now opened up bookings into early September. If anyone would like to join us, you can book in advance on our website to avoid disappointment.”
PLATFORM restaurant will operate every Friday and Saturday from 12noon until late as part of a transitional opening, complete with an international street food menu and fully licensed bar offering up a revolving list of cocktail classics, guest beers and a range of Scottish gins and whiskies, and local craft sodas.
There is no time limit on tables, but those wishing to book can reserve a table online for three hours with the option of staying on longer. The venue also has daily allocated tables for walk-ins and drinkers who want to hang out and meet up with friends.
Bookings are now live for September. You can book your table online from https://platformgla.co.uk/table-booking/
