St. Enoch Centre secures the first Scottish Donut King

Donut King - Australia's largest and most popular speciality donut and coffee retailer has set its sights on Scotland for 2021 when they'll open their first Scottish store in St. Enoch Centre!

The eye-catching, vibrant and mouth-watering Australian brand will be opening its fifth UK store in in Glasgow’s St. Enoch’s Centre, as part of its £40 million leisure and dining precinct redevelopment.

Since roasting its way into Australia’s coffee and food industry in 1981, Donut King now boasts over 250 stores globally and its mission has remained the same – to bring a sense of playfulness and energy to the customer’s experience whilst serving quality, made fresh in store products.

It was this philosophy and brand history, that attracted Master Franchise Partner, Jabbar Mumtaz to acquire and launch Donut King in the United Kingdom. The first store opened in Mumtaz’s home county, Essex in June 2019.

“I couldn’t think of a better location to open our first Scottish store, than Glasgow’s St. Enoch Centre. I hope Glaswegian’s enjoy our fresh hot cinnamon, glazed and novelty donuts, artistic Sundaes and delicious freak shakes, as much as our English customers do! Our Royal Bean coffee is a medium roasted blend and bequeaths caramel, chocolate and subtle fruit tones”, said Mumtaz.

Donut King will join Nando’s, Smashburger, COSMO and Vue Cinemas as confirmed redevelopment retailers. In addition to the offerings listed above, Donut King will also provide customers with a wide variety of hot and cold beverage options, soft serve cones and hot savoury items.
