Twin Atlantic frontman, Sam McTrusty and Ross McNae played a banging DJ set for guests that included a host of top influencers, including; Frankie Armstrong, Steffani Deans, Hannah Simpson and Love Island’s Biggs Chris.

RuPaul’s Drag Race royalty, Mayhem Miller also joined the celebrations. The star, who has been staying at YOTEL Glasgow all week with fellow Drag Race favourite Detox, enjoyed some cocktails and posted all the action on their Instagram Stories.

The new flagship destination bar has been designed for lovers of street art and good times by Scottish designers Astrid Carleton and Amanda Davies and is set to bring the wow factor as they open their doors and welcome guests on Friday.
With impressive hand-drawn tattoo art and Instagrammable interiors the bold new lifestyle and retail hybrid stands out from the crowd, marrying together bold independent retail, incredible artwork and the best of modern Scottish hospitality. Macmerry300 - the leading operators of 14 venues in Scotland including Abandon Ship Bar, previously opened their first Abandon Ship venue in Dundee in 2019, before opening this new flagship Mitchell Street venue. Growth is on the cards for the hospitality group with 10 planned across the UK, and Covent Garden set to open later this year.
Set across two impressive floors, the venue features an 80 cover restaurant and bar full of memorable corners that’s home to an imaginative cocktail menu with craft beers and speciality drinks for every occasion, all complemented with an Americana soul-food menu that’s big on flavour.
Guests can relax on beautiful pastel pink and aqua leather-backed booths and high chairs whilst they soak in the sensory surroundings and atmosphere that includes custom eclectic neon signage, incredible lighting, and stand out design features that include a resin-top sticker bar that pays homage to the evolution of Abandon Ship Apparel with design highlights from their last decade.
Later on in the year, the basement will be home to the ‘Fitting Room’ laden with cool stuff and the new home of Abandon Ship Apparel.
Abandon Ship Bar is now open seven days a week from noon until 1am and is located at 43 Mitchell St, Glasgow G1 3LA
