Good times, Asian street food and classic cocktails with a twist await at one of the west end’s best destinations for brunch, lunch, dinner and drinks and with seating outdoors and a light airy interior, Embargo is the perfect pitstop to enjoy a drink or bite to eat alfresco, weather allowing, as the city basks in mild, autumnal weather.
Embargo has recently undergone a revamp with both the interior and the menus all having a refresh and part of this new refurbishment sees the exterior being pimped up with new wings.
The team at Embargo are offering one lucky winner £100 to spend at the bar with friends, all you need to do is follow Embargo on Instagram, take a pic, tag 3 friends you’d like to spend your prize with and use #embargogivesyouwings. One winner chosen at the closing date of October 31st will wing it with the £100.
General Manager Callum Young said: “The Embargo wings were such a hit last year people travelled to us just to have a cocktail and have their picture taken and if the response is anything like last time then we might need to employ someone to take all the pics and form an orderly queue!”
Serving up small plates, bao buns, curries, ramen, burgers, sides and desserts with an Asian twist, Embargo’s Boozy Brunch is proving a hit, with any brunch dish and four drinks of your choice for just £25. The Boozy Brunch gets booked up quick, and runs every Saturday and Sunday from 10am-3pm with the best-selling brunch dishes include the Soft Shell Crab Benedict which is perfectly poached eggs, a smattering of sriracha hollandaise, crispy onions and chilli - think eggs benedict but more bougie.
On the cocktail front sip on a chilled, tall and full of flavour Oriental Iced Tea, Embargo’s twist on a Classic Long Island Iced Tea, which features flavours of lychee and topped with Asahi Lager. Lychee Brambles are fruity and fresh and the perfect way to kickstart the weekend and if you’re visiting on a Monday, that calls for a Martini, maybe?
Serving up brunch, small plates, bao buns, curries, ramen, burgers, sides and desserts you'll find Embargo at 71-77 Byres Road!
