Scotland’s biggest wedding show takes place at the Scottish Event Campus (SEC) in Glasgow this weekend (19-20 February) after being forced to take a break due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The event, which has been running in Glasgow since 2002, brings together the country’s top wedding suppliers under one roof and is the place to be for brides and grooms from all over the country who are planning their big day.
The event will showcase all the must-haves, hosting 200 of the UK’s leading wedding suppliers and showcasing bridalwear and groomswear, entertainment options, venues, florists, wedding cars and everything a couple needs to plan their perfect celebration.
The famous live Catwalk Show returns for this weekend’s event, showcasing bridal dresses and groomswear trends for next season and a fabulous array of bridesmaid, mother-of-the-bride/groom, flower girl and page boy attire.
This year’s event also marks the launch of ‘Let’s Talk Tying the Knot’, a series of wedding talks and Q&As, with all the latest tips and tricks for planning nuptials from a panel of experts – plus Bob Voysey and Megan Wolfe from Married at First Sight UK will be making an appearance to chat about love, life and what really goes on behind the cameras.
For those looking for the perfect soundtrack to their big day, the Live Band Showcase will also be in full swing over the weekend, while the Field of Dreams returns – presenting extraordinary ideas for outdoor ceremonies or receptions under the stars.
A limited number of tickets are still remaining for the event and couples are advised to book now to secure their place at the event, with demand at an all-time high.
Tsitsi Lynn Makuni, Show Manager said: “We’re really feeling the love from the people of Glasgow this Valentine’s Day as we gear up to put on our most anticipated show yet. We can’t wait to welcome all the newly engaged couples to the SEC this weekend and get them inspired for their big day. With new and returning suppliers coming together, it’s bound to be a show to remember, and we’re delighted to launch our Let’s Talk Tying the Knot series this year to give attendees more information on planning their dream wedding.”
Elaine Donegan, Owner at Wedding Wise Bridal in Barrhead said: “After the past two years of restricted celebrations, we’re thrilled weddings are back and can’t wait to attend the Scottish Wedding Show this weekend to show off all our new season dresses. Events like this provide a wonderful opportunity for businesses in the industry to come together and celebrate the fantastic services we offer in Scotland, and we can’t wait to help more brides say yes to the dress in 2022.”
Limited tickets are available to book online now from £14 for entry only and £30 for VIP tickets. VIP tickets for Saturday are now sold out. Catwalk tickets are available for £3.50 and visitors must also hold a valid entry ticket.
Visitors must comply with any COVID-19 measures as determined by The Scottish Wedding Show, and any legal requirements as defined by Scottish Law at the time of the event (unless exempt). More information can be found at www.thescottishweddingshow.com/visiting/covid-19-guidelines.
