ConFAB announce the return of their Digital Writing Group for 14 to 17 year olds
Young writers across Scotland are invited to join ConFAB's Digital Writing Group with the chance to record an album of their work.

After an incredible first year with some exceptional young writers, ConFAB are delighted to announce the return of their Digital Writing Group in 2022 and are on the lookout for young people aged 14-17, to take part in this year’s project which starts in March.
The aim of the group is to inspire and encourage young writers across the country to find their voice on the page and on the stage. Through a series of free monthly online workshops with professional writers, speakers, musicians, and performers, the Digital Writing Group will write, record, and release their own spoken word album and perform their work live later this year.
In 2021, the group worked together to create an album of spoken word called The New World which was released on Bandcamp in October 2021 and is now available on Spotify. Participants will also have the opportunity to perform their work live later in the year as the Scottish Youth Poetry Slam live event returns in October 2022.
Commenting on the Digital Writing Group, Lauren Gilmour said: “Our Digital Writing Group workshop series is free of charge and designed for young people aged 14-17. We want to create a safe space where aspiring young writers can connect with one another, develop their writing and performance skills, learn from expert facilitators, and become part of a community of creative minds.”
